WDO Inspection Florida is an independent directory and editorial guide to wood-destroying organism inspections in Florida. We are not an inspection or pest control company — we map every FDACS-licensed WDO company in the state, explain the process in plain English, and pass quote requests to licensed companies. Licensing data comes from the official state registry, exported July 21, 2026.
Who We Are
We are an editorial team, not inspectors. Nobody here performs inspections, sells treatment, or holds a stake in any company listed. The site exists because the Florida WDO report — a two-page state form that decides closings — had no dedicated statewide reference: buyers were piecing it together from lender blogs and forum threads. Our job is the reference layer: how the report works, when it’s required, what it costs, and who is actually licensed to do it.
Our Data Sources
- FDACS licensing registry (Chapter 482, F.S.). The company list is built from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services registry of licensed pest control businesses in the termite and wood-destroying organism control categories. Current dataset export: July 21, 2026. License numbers, statuses, and counties shown on profiles come from this registry.
- Google Maps business data. Contact details, hours, service areas, and customer-rating signals on profiles come from each company’s public Google Maps listing, captured at the same date.
- Primary documents. Editorial pages cite the sources directly — Florida Statutes, FDACS forms and consumer guidance, VA circulars and lender handbooks, HUD Handbook 4000.1, and the Florida Building Code — with visible links, so you can verify every claim without trusting us.
How Listings Are Ranked
The directory includes every company holding an active FDACS license in the termite and WDO control category — inclusion is automatic with the license, and no company can pay to be added, removed, or promoted. City and county pages order companies by a combination of customer-rating signals from public Google data and proximity to the area served. That’s the whole algorithm. We sell nothing on this site except the hand-off of your quote request, and sponsored placement does not exist here.
Independence and How We Make Money
The honesty rule
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or owned by any company listed, and companies do not pay for their position. When you submit a quote request, we pass it to licensed WDO companies serving your area; some of them may pay us a referral fee for that hand-off. The fee never changes who appears in listings or in what order — and we never mark a company as recommended because it pays.
Corrections and Update Cycle
The licensing registry is re-pulled and the directory rebuilt quarterly; editorial pages are updated when their source documents change (each page shows its last-updated date). Spot an error — a closed company still listed, wrong license details, an outdated legal fact? Email contact@wdoinspectionflorida.com and we will verify against the registry and correct it. License status itself is FDACS’s call, not ours — for anything official, check the state registry via our verification walkthrough.

Are you an inspection company?
No. We are an independent directory and editorial project. We do not perform inspections, employ inspectors, or sell treatment. Inspections are performed by the FDACS-licensed companies listed in the directory.
How do you make money?
One way: when you request quotes through the site, the request may be passed to licensed WDO companies serving your area, and some pay a referral fee for that introduction. Companies cannot pay for listing position, and the directory itself is free to use.
How current is the licensing data?
The company dataset was exported from the FDACS Chapter 482 licensing registry on July 21, 2026, and is refreshed quarterly. Business details come from public Google Maps data captured at the same time. Each editorial page displays its own last-updated date.
My company is listed with wrong details — how do I fix it?
Email contact@wdoinspectionflorida.com with the company name and FDACS license number. We verify changes against the state registry and public listings and correct profiles in the next update; urgent errors (like a wrongly listed closed status) are fixed out of cycle.
